Whole Foods Will Be Opening a Calgary Store in 2017

If you have ever had a chance to visit a Whole Foods store before you'll know what all of the excitement is about. This is an amazing place to buy your groceries since it features organic and natural food in a supermarket-type of setting. This is an exciting announcement and many families, couples and individuals are looking forward to the grand opening.

It's not clear where the new store will be located but we'll find out soon. The company has already picked out the site but won't let the public know the location until June. If you regularly shop for organic or natural foods, you'll want to be on the lookout for the news of the upcoming location that will be released near the beginning of summer.

Whole Foods has been considering Calgary as a place of interest for quite a while now. The city is thriving and growing and could use another organic grocery store to keep up with the demand. If all goes well, Whole Foods will open up another store in the city later on.

When the store opens there will be about 150 new jobs created and it's expected that the opening date will be sometime during the summer in 2017. There are also plans in place to open stores in Edmonton and Victoria and the expected opening dates for these 2 stores is sometime during the fall in 2016. The Edmonton Whole Foods store will be the first one to open in Alberta and will cover a total of 42,000 ft.².

Airdrie residents are lucky to be living so close to the big city. Whole Foods is a major organic and natural food chain that has had phenomenal success across the U.S. and in its Canadian stores.
