What will you Find at the Airdrie Public Library?

The Airdrie Public Library is a part of a larger system called the Marigold Library System. This larger system was established in 1981 as a network of libraries serving 41 municipalities in Alberta. The system allows independent libraries to work together so that they can keep the costs down.

Since the Airdrie Public Library is a part of this network, they are able to increase their collection by leveraging the 170 other libraries found in the province There are more than 3 million CDs, DVDs, books and other resources found in The Regional Automated Consortium catalogue (TRACpac). As a member of the Airdrie Public Library, you can reserve any items from the other libraries.

Programs

The library is more than just books and DVDs, however. There are many programs for all ages including:

Tours

The library also provides tours for students and groups. These tours make it easy to figure out what it really offered at the library. Whether you're a new member or you want to bring your school class, you can reserve your tour at the library.

Membership, Hours and Location

Memberships are available for households, adults, students, youth, children, seniors and even non-residents. It just requires a driver's license or another form of ID to become a member. Fees are:

  • Household - $25 - Includes two adults and anybody under 18 in the household
  • Adult - $20
  • Student - $10
  • Youth - $5
  • Children - Free with an Adult card
  • Senior - $5
  • Non-resident outside the Marigold Library System Boundaries - $70

These rates are all annual fees and provide full access to the library.

The Airdrie Public Library is open from 9am to 8:30pm, Monday through Thursday, from 9am to 5pm on Fridays, from 10am to 5pm on Saturdays and from 1pm to 5pm on Sundays.
